About

Noelle Picozzi always knew her life purpose was to help others live better lives, to learn to use their challenges as steppingstones toward creating the best version of themselves. Her sense of purpose came from the difficult childhood she had and her years of self-growth that followed. In 1993, she began by volunteering for her local rape crisis center for two years. Then she earned a master’s degree in social work from Barry University (Miami Shores, FL). After which she worked as a Child & Family Therapist, a job that brought her into a large school district in Central NY where she worked with K-12 students who needed more attention than the school social worker was able to give. She also spent some weekends working with a Child & Adolescent Crisis Intervention Team.
Her love of learning later led to her second master’s degree in education from Le Moyne University (Syracuse, NY). After which, she taught English to 11th & 12th, then 6th & 7th graders. She knew that she eventually wanted to use the two advanced degrees together to motivate and inspire individuals struggling to thrive in the challenging world we live in.
Her life motto has always been, “Learn, Grow, and Change,” and her book of choice has always been self-growth. She grew up as the youngest of five children to immigrant parents, her father was an angry alcoholic who spent his life serving in the military. She was forced to compensate for her undiagnosed ADHD well into her 20’s, knowing something was “off” but not sure what that something was and wore thick glasses growing up in a time when being bullied was a dirty, shameful secret for the victim. She lost both parents and two brothers beginning when she was just 13 years old; needless to say, she understands what a challenging life looks and feels like from both her own life and her work with a variety of clients and students.
Since September 5, 2018, she has been writing under her brand: Growth Mindset Life. She has completed two Growth Mindset Living books in her series thus far, the second being a devotional. Her books, all based on self-growth and empowerment through a Growth Mindset lens, contain practical life lessons (chapters) and a life application section at the end of each. Her approach requires the reader to put in the effort toward becoming the best version of themselves, it is not just reading material but rather a step-by-step plan to apply (a key component) each lesson to improve one’s life; she believes whole-heartedly this is how learning, growing, and changing takes place. Her first book, Growth Mindset Living: 26 Practical Lessons with Life Applications to Become Your Best Self is currently in the publication process; look out for updates as to when it will become available in early 2027!
Most recently she has begun speaking and looks forward to growing that facet of her purpose and passion with a variety of groups.
